Pamporovo Resortis the most popular and biggest ski resort in Bulgaria, located in the Rhodope Mountain. It is also known as the pearl of all Bulgarian mountain resorts, as it is situated in the heart of the Rhodopi Mountains, 260 km away from the capital Sofia, 85 km to the south of the city of Plovdiv and 15 km away from the town of Smolyan. One day on the ski runs of Pamporovo is enough to get You a lovely sun tan, as it is know for one of the sunniest mountain resorts in Bulgaria with more than 240 sunny days throughout the year. The resort is situated at an altitude of 1 650 m at the foot of Snezhanka peak (1926 m). The climate is mild, with strong Mediterranean influence. It is favorable for tourism – the average annual temperature is about 8°C, and the thickness of the snow layer is 140 – 150 cm. Neither the extreme weather changes, nor the avalanches are typical for Pamporovo, which guarantees Your peace and safety during the holiday.


Since the establishment of Pamporovo Resort in 1933 many hotels, commercial and spa centers, restaurants, bars, service and leisure centers, ski equipments and ski tracks have been build. The numerous ski-tracks of Pamporovo are surrounded by centuries-old, and thus making the resort extremely beautiful and attractive. The total length of the ski-tracks is 18 km. The capacity of the lifts and tow-lifts is 8000 persons per hour. If You haven’t learned how to ski thus far, there is nothing to worry about because the ski-schools in Pamporovo are some of the best in Europe! Highly qualified ski instructors teach beginners in groups or individually. The ski runs in Pamporovo are with different levels of difficulty, so regardless whether You are beginners or experienced skiers, skiing down remains an unforgettable pleasure. Even in the summer, Pamporovo is an excellent place for active recreation due to the opportunity it offers for walks with different degree of difficulty and duration. There are superb opportunities for the fans of mountain biking.


The Holiday settlement Stoikite is situated 3 km to the west of Pamporovo, 4 km to the southeast of the architectural reserve Shiroka luka, and 240 km away from the capital Sofia. The caves "Uhlovitsa", "Devil’s Throat" and "Yagodinska" (known also as "The Imam’s Abyss") occur in close proximity to the settlement. "Yagodinska" cave is located near the Bouinovo River, 3 km away from the village of Yagodina in the Rhodope Mountains, as it is a part of the unique caves "Devil’s throat" and "Yagodinska”. The holiday settlement is a preferred place both for winter recreation and for summer rural tourism because of its favorable geographic location and wonderful nature.


Perelik Sport & Tourism Resort (under construction) is situated near Pamporovo resort and in the same countryside. This is one of the biggest ski complexes in Europe, the investment in which amounts to EUR 250 million. The resort will dispose of 50 ski tracks with a total length of more than 30 kilometers, 24 lifts with capacity of more than 8000 persons per hour, covered car parks and hotels. The high season for skiing will be extended until May. A Congress Center and a golf-course will be later constructed here. The entire resort will be situated on more than 10 million square meters, including 2200 hectares of mountains. The investment for the first three years will be to the amount of EUR 94 million. The construction of solid-built houses is not planned in order to preserve the nature. Thus, many European ecological organizations gave an excellent estimation to the project in view of its influence on the environment, as the project has been approved by the Ministry of Ecology.

The village of Stoykite is situated in Southern Bulgaria. It is tucked away at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains, just a few kilometers away from our southern neighbour Greece . This pretty village, which is located at an altitude of 1300 m, is very suitable for a long ski season starting at the beginning of December until the middle of April. The region offers many favourable conditions for village tourism, as well as for hunting and fishing. The proximity of the Aegean Sea, which is only 80 km away from the village, is a predominant factor for the summer season. At the moment there is an ongoing construction of a modern six-chair lift, which will connect Pamporovo Resort Complex and the village of Stoykite. There is a plan for two ski tracks with a respective length of the tracks as follows:

Track 1- a length of 3420 m, displacement of 473.5 m, total area of 102600 square meters;
Track 2 - a length of 2901 m, excluding the overlapping zone, displacement of 4730.5 m, total area of 87030 square meters;

There is a plan for the next couple of years for the implementation of "Perelik" Project, which amounts to over EUR 400 million. I shall include new technical installations and new 290-km ski tracks. Under the said project, the village of Stoykite will be the base for most of the facilities .
The recreation complex is situated 300 meters away from the lower station of the six-chair lift. It consists of 4 sections and an open parking lot offering ....... parking places. The four sections are interconnected by means of inside corridors. The Complex consists of studios, one-room apartments and apartments with two rooms of 37 square meters up to 125 square meters .
Regarding the needs of the visitors, there is a plan for a restaurant (Bulgarian national cuisine), a sports complex including a swimming pool, a sauna, a steam bathroom and a fitness centre, ski wardrobe, a lobby bar , wireless Internet connection in each studio and apartment, as well as cable TV . The apartments have electrical heating.
The building has a construction of armoured concrete, as the external walls are brickwork .
All requirements and standards of the anti-fire security and protection have been observed, including the presence of a lightning conductor and earthing installations.
